Taking Bait Leads to Trouble: Be Smarter Than Your Emotions

Are You Bait-able?You don’t have to take bait.

Bait is an attempt to lure, tempt, entice or even distract, bribe or trap.

There’s a whole lot of space between adult rights to do, and making Grown decisions.

Think about how many times you’ve been baited, and ended up angry with yourself because somebody out-smarted you.  They used something they knew would get your attention – which you would have a difficult time refusing.

If this list is long for you – if you’re not already tired – you’re going to get tired of playing the fool.

Bait appeals to the emotion. When you find an area where you are bait-able (or as I refer to as fuquitable), you’ve also found an area of weakness.  When you are tempted it is wise to filter all bait through the mind, otherwise, remorse and/or regret, (or if you’re a real fool justification) will likely follow. Your untamed emotions will drive you into a ditch!

If after filtering through logic (sometimes you’ll need to use other people’s as a sounding board if yours has proven “ditch-bound”), you still choose to take the bait, make Grown decisions!
