Michael Jackson, “Childhood” Lyrics

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson

WHAT HE’S CALLED, “THE MOST HONEST SONG I’VE EVER WRITTEN.”

Written and Composed by Michael Jackson.
Produced by Michael Jackson.

Have you seen my Childhood?
I’m searching for the world that I come from
‘Cause I’ve been looking around
In the lost and found of my heart…
No one understands me
They view it as such strange eccentricities…
‘Cause I keep kidding around
Like a child, but pardon me…

People say I’m not okay
‘Cause I love such elementary things…
It’s been my fate to compensate,
for the Childhood
I’ve never known…

Have you seen my Childhood?
I’m searching for that wonder in my youth
Like pirates in adventurous dreams,
Of conquest and kings on the throne…

Before you judge me, try hard to love me,
Look within your heart then ask,
Have you seen my Childhood?

People say I’m strange that way
‘Cause I love such elementary things,
It’s been my fate to compensate,
for the Childhood (Childhood) I’ve never known…

Have you seen my Childhood?
I’m searching for that wonder in my youth
Like fantastical stories to share
But the dreams I would dare, watch me fly…

Before you judge me, try hard to love me.
The painful youth I’ve had

Have you seen my Childhood….

Don’t know about you, but this totally saddens me…watch the judgment y’all. While it LOOKED like he had it all…all he wanted was his childhood.

Michael, thank you for the gift of you…RIP…Peace…Finally!

Growing up in a large poor family in the 60’s had to have been tough. The music had to of filled a void but at the same time robbed these children of childhood.
Although we are to become like children and accept faith bestowed us, balance did not exist for them. One thing is for sure, he had a touch and a talent unique to all that has left it’s mark many, big and small.
    Peace

i understood michael completely. this is exactly what i have been trying to explain about him to others for years. to me it’s so obvious that he was trying to regain the childhood he never had and how sad this is for someone like him…..we all looked at his life as having it all, but he saw it as grim:-( r.i.p. michael…..we will remember and love you forever. you will forever be in our hearts, minds and our souls. we miss you dearly:-(
