Is Your Thinking Creating Your Life’s Challenges?

Every life is governed by philosophies – things that you allow to dictate your life: what is right, how you should live (even how you think others should live), how to raise your children, etc.
Philosophy is defined in many ways – one is, a set of ideas or beliefs that create fundamental assumptions.
How you THINK about your challenges in life could be making them more difficult.
Since life is ever-changing, it’s a good idea to have some “philosophical flexibility” which will enable you to align your philosophies with the changes your life presents, rather than trying to force your beliefs upon that which you have no control.
There are 3 philosophies that I’ve allowed to govern my existence and they always serve me, brilliantly:
- Life Happens…Life Does Not Happen TO me
- My Experiences are Purposeful and Intended to Prepare Me
- The Key to My Growth is to Make My NEXT Decision…BETTER than my LAST
Here’s the kicker for these to be effective for you. You have to be ever-willing to learn more and do something different – implement what you learn which will always challenge your current philosophies.
We’re Growin’ UP…Grown IS Sexy! 😉
Now join the discussion. Leave a comment, even a personal experience. State a belief and then, briefly describe how the belief has affected an experience in your life that you now realize is what made a decision more challenging.
And if you enjoyed this post, please share it.
